Lia Thomas - Learn Compassion! You're still acting male...

It was in the news lately that Lia Thomas and Riley Gaines tied for fifth place. While Lia has followed the NCAA rules to ensure that she meets the qualifications of being a woman, she still is lacking in some feminine qualities. She stood by while the NCAA swimming told her competitor that swam equally fast to hold the sixth place trophy. Compassion and caring are very feminine traits that most women possess to some degree. Women have a tendency towards nurturing, sensitivity, and kindness. Lia didn't seem to have any of these traits as she said nothing. She heard the exchange between Riley. She heard them tell Riley they were giving the trophy to Lia and she could pose with the sixth place trophy. What? Are you kidding me? She got the same time. They touched the touch pads at the same instant down to the hundredth of a second. That is pretty dang tough. So what should Lia have done? She could have tapped into her feminine energy and told Riley to stand next to her and hold the trophy with her. This would have shown her empathy. She could have said, "come share the platform with me. That is what is fair." Instead, she acted like a male in this cutthroat world. Perhaps, we should include teaching transgenders just HOW other genders behave as part of the transition package. Many of them aren't "passing" because they still have qualities and behaviors of the biological gender.
